dledex is a directory of dle games: free daily puzzles in the spirit of Wordle. Each game gets a one-sentence description and a score from 0 to 10. Every game opens on its own site.
How the score works
Every game starts with an editorial starting value: our assessment of the game, informed by public signals such as its reach in the daily-games scene, how many directories list it, its website's traffic, and its polish, originality and depth.
Player ratings from 1 to 10 (one per device, protected against spam) replace the starting value step by step: score = (10 × starting value + weighted sum of ratings) ÷ (10 + sum of weights). A rating given after pressing Play here, on the same network, counts in full, one without a quarter; of several ratings of a game from the same network within 30 days, only the first counts, and ratings that look manipulated can be removed. After 10 full ratings, players make up half of the score. Per game and day, 20 ratings count in full and every further one a quarter.
The colour runs from red to green, every tenth with its own shade. Roughly:
- 8.0–10Excellent
- 7.0–7.9Great
- 6.0–6.9Good
- 5.0–5.9Mixed
- 0–4.9Weak
“Best” sorts by score, highest first. Scores are recalculated with every update of the directory.
